Signs and Symptoms of Lung Cancer

Signs Cancer and cancer symptoms, in this case the signs and symptoms of lung cancer varies depending on where and how wide the spread of tumors. Warning signs of lung cancer is not always present or easily identified. A person with lung cancer may have a variety of the following symptoms:

• No symptoms:

At up to 25% of the people who get lung cancer, cancer was first discovered on a chest x-rays and CT scans routinely as an isolated small mass sometimes called a wound coin (coin lesions). These patients with masses of small single often report no symptoms of lung cancer at the time was found.

• What are the symptoms of cancer-related:
Cancer growth and invasion (invasion) lung tissues and environment may interfere with breathing, leading to symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath, wheezing (wheezing), chest pain, and coughing up blood (hemoptysis). If the cancer has invaded nerves, for example, it may cause shoulder pain that moves down the outside of the arm (called Pancoast's Syndrome) or paralysis suaru bands leads to a hoarse voice (hoarse). Attack the esophagus may lead to difficulty swallowing (dysphagia). If a large airway is obstructed, deflated part of the lung may occur and cause infections (abscesses, pneumonia) in the blocked area.

• Signs cancer and cancer symptoms associated with metastatic cancer:
Lung cancer that has spread to the bones may produce excruciating pain at sites of bone involvement. Cancer that has spread to the brain may cause a number of neurologic symptoms may include blurred vision, headaches, attacks (seizures), or stroke symptoms like weakness or numbness in body parts.

• Paraneoplastic symptoms:
Lung cancer is often accompanied by so-called paraneoplastic syndromes that result from the production elements that mimic the hormone by the tumor cells. Paraneoplastic syndromes occur most commonly with SCLC but may be seen with any tumor type. A paraneoplastic syndrome commonly associated with SCLC is the production of a hormone called adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH) by cancer cells, leading to excessive expenditures hormone cortisol by the adrenal glands (Cushing's syndrome). Paraneoplastic syndromes (paraneoplastic syndrome) is most often seen with NSCLC is the production of a substance similar to parathyroid hormone, resulting in calcium levels are increased in the bloodstream.

• non-specific symptoms:
Nonspecific symptoms seen in many cancers including lung cancer include weight loss, weakness, and fatigue. Psychological symptoms such as depression and mood changes are also common.
